Stradform Reaches Milestone in the Construction of Cardiff Divisional Police HQ

A milestone has been reached in the construction of the new Divisional Police Headquarters at Cardiff Bay, a £17 million contract being undertaken for the South Wales Police Authority by Stradform Limited (part of VINCI PLC).
The concrete frame is complete and the steel roof construction is nearing completion which will house plant and equipment.
The six floor headquarters facility is the largest capital project ever undertaken by South Wales Police and provides a state of the art building with the latest technology. The 60 cell custody suite is one of the largest in the country and features the most up to date electronic control and surveillance systems. Office space is provided over three floors and includes an automated filing system, a high tech command room, as well as welfare and gymnasium facilities for police staff.
Glazing to the street elevations and facing brick render ensures that the building remains in keeping with the surrounding area.
